Aura photography is a really wonderful tool for letting people see how their energy manifests around them and how it is affected by both their own actions and intentions as well as their environment. For years, auras were suspect, as they could not be seen with the naked eye, except to a very few. Early aura photography attempts involved electromagnetic waves sent through the space around the subject. This was not a very precise way to view the aura, however, as much of what was picked up by these waves came from a source outside the person sitting for the photograph.
Today, aura readings are done through the use of biofeedback. The biofeedback hand sensor measures the moisture levels, pulse, temperature, etc, and coalesces this data into both an image as well as a series of graphed information regarding energy levels, emotional levels, etc. The aura colors that are depicted reflect the current state of the person, not their permanent state. Auras can change colors quite easily, through energy manipulation. One technique that is often used for therapeutic purposes is to take an aura photo of a person, show it to them, and then give them a tool to work with. It might be a grounding tool, a relaxation tool, an invigoration breathing technique and so on. Then, a second aura picture is taken. The results are usually quite distinct.
One use that is just beginning to be seen is to demonstrate the affect of the environment on a person. When biofeedback images are taken of people in different locations- grocery stories, national forests, before and after yoga classes, there tend to be certain energetic patterns. People interacting within the same environment sometimes show more similarities than a single individual photographed in multiple environments. In part, this is simply an example of how fluid our auras really are. A person might have a general color range that they are prone to, but that is really about it. Everything around us and inside of us has an affect on us, which shows up quite clearly in these photos.
How can we use this information? Well, for one, we can be more conscious about how we interact with the world. If you're in the grocery store and feeling very rushed and a little bit anxious even though you have all the time in the world to get your shopping done, stop and take a few deep breaths. Pull tension into your shoulders and neck, and then relax them completely. Do whatever you need to do to help yourself feel calm, and then continue on with your shopping. It's as easy as that.
